2013 Member Survey Results

Thanks to the 22 members who participated in the survey.

Results are shown below (without names and comments) and will now be fed back to the Club Committee for further discussion.

1. Last November we changed the game selection system for club nights in order to get more balanced games.

Compared to the previous system, the new one is...

2. We run 6 league teams

* 3 teams in the Harrogate & Ripon Leagues which combine ladies, mens & mixed doubles:

* 2 mens doubles teams in the Leeds League

* 1 mixed doubles team in the Leeds League

• I am happy with this - 77% (17)
• I would prefer to change - 23% (5)

3. The club would like as many members as possible to play in league matches

• I currently play regularly in a team - 95% (18)
• I believe I am good enough to play in a team but have not yet been selected - 0% (0)
• I would like to play in a team in the future, but may not be at the appropriate standard yet - 0% (0)
• I am happy playing socially - 5% (1)

4. Between Oct and March there is usually a league match played every home night, which utilises 2 of the 4 courts

• I am happy with this as it gives a chance to watch league matches and support the club's teams -68% (15)
• I would rather Mondays were match only nights leaving Fridays for club nights only - 16% (3)
• I would rather Fridays were match only nights leaving Mondays for club nights only - 16% (3)

5. There have been several social events offered in the last year (Chinese night, curry night, summer walk & meal, brewery visit, golf day)

• I am happy with this sort of event and will aim to attend where possible - 95% (21)
• I am interested in attending socials but have not been attracted to the events offered - 0% (0)
• I just want to play badminton and am not interested in social activities - 5% (1)

6. The club is run by a committee (Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Fixture Sec, Social Sec & committee members)
